Hello, i may have a stupid question. While i was working on my rhino file i realized that my render display is different than some other files it looks more like as the artistic viewport . If you can see the picture, they are two different rhino files both viewports are in the render. how can i change the picture at the right to be as the picture at the left? I try to change settings from the display but it seems everything is the same at both files.
Hi @christina4frb,
Make sure the following things are true:
- Shadows checkbox is checked under the Display tab.
- Skylight checkbox is checked under the Rendering tab.
Thank you so much!!!
If you look in the render tab there is a “00 reset” button that resets the file rendersettings to the same as for a default new Rhino 6 file. (so it looks like the one on the left)
This is typically needed if you open a V5 file or a DWG etc. But if you first make a new file and then import the stuff you want (instead of open) then you also get the default V6 look for these files.
Good luck.
Is there a way to change the default settings or save a modified Rendered view as default?
I typically need to change at least the resolution and quality for rendering, so it would be easier and more efficient if this is always the same.
I have searched for a solution a couple of times, but never seemed to find what I was looking for.
Those settings are document settings so try this:
- set up an empty file the way you want it
- save that as a template
- make a new file and choose your new template
