Remote CAD Design Expert (Instructor), $40–$90/hr

micro1 is looking for CAD experts (Rhino/Grasshopper users welcome) to teach and evaluate AI models on CAD workflows. The work is remote, flexible and hourly, at $40–$90/hr. I’ll delete this post once it’s filled.

This is a referral listing, not an official micro1 posting. I’m a Micro1 Partner and get a referral bonus if you’re hired.

as far as i read the linked requirements:

…Mastery of a major parametric CAD software package (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape, Solid Edge); familiarity with FreeCAD is a plus.

the role is manly focusing on implicit, feature tree, parametric models and assemblies…

and it s a “donate your knowledge to AI” job
;-(

Hell to the no, no NO!~

Thank you and goodbye.

Hi Alex, thanks for posting. I work daily in Rhino 8 and Grasshopper, so I could judge whether AI-generated CAD workflows hold up in practice: clean NURBS and SubD, data trees, slicing into ribs, nesting and DXF output for CNC and laser. For proof, I have 15+ years with Rhino and Grasshopper and have published 14 Grasshopper definitions. My focus, though, is real design and fabrication projects and 1:1 teaching on clients’ own files, not ongoing model-training work. Before going further, could you share the actual task description, the expected weekly hours, and who the contracting party is? You mention this is a referral rather than an official micro1 posting. If the scope turns out to be a defined piece of work, I would answer with a fixed price before any work starts.

Best, Björn
