new issue for me. I’m just using a simple logitech mouse with Rhino8. It has happened a half dozen times so far. I lose the scroll wheel so I can’t zoom in or out. If I restart the computer the scroll wheel works again. What’s up with that?

This same thing is happening with me.
It happens every single time I work in the software. It’s very annoying and I have tried everything that I saw to try and sove this problem, but I keep on having it.
This only happens in Rhino.
What should I do?

It hasn’t been an issue for me lately, but what I have noticed is that when I select some part of the drawing that goes off the screen, then zooming becomes VERY slow to almost non existent. This is a problem because there are times when I need to have several things selected and still need to zoom in very close, but can’t until I deselect things.
I think that going back to my original post, that it worked again when I rebooted simply because things weren’t selected anymore.
This has to do with the zoom target that can go lost. Typically _Zoom _Target (alias ZT) is the best way to make sure your mouse zooms into the area you want.
@Mariana_Penteado my personal opinion: yes, there are far better and more ergonomic mice to work with Rhino. I have good experience with Logitech MX Master.
The Magic Mouse has a tendency to zoom way too quickly.
If you do want to keep using it, I’d set the zoom factor to a value like 0.98 or 0.99, try what works best for you.
