Problem offsetting a curve surface

What i intended to do is to offset this frame to have a degree of thickness, however the curve jus explodes

try using this component offset curve on surface

Quad panels component requires a plug-in. Please internalize geometry in the surface container.

Well, yeah. You are trying to offset the curves when what you want to do is offset the surfaces.
