Printing layout too slow or crashes

Hello!
I have a 110 MB file with around 35 layouts, a bridge.
I have 4-5 drawings that take a lot of time to print if it even works.
I have tried purging and removing unneccessary blocks etc.
No custom plugins installed.

When push Print it takes around 10 min for it to load the preview. Then maybe 10 min to print the drawing. The drawing is also sometimes missing some items.
I have noticed this is only on layouts that show things with clipping planes and many objects. I have tried using double clipping planes to confine the cuts.

I have also tried a more powerful PC to print and it doesnt really make a difference.

Cheers!

Any ideas?

Can you run _SystemInfo and post back the results?

Could you share the file with us for investigating this issue? You can upload large/confidential files here

Hej Georgi -

Please also include the top lines of that information.

Are you printing to a vector PDF or a different format?

In the title, you mention crashing. I’m not seeing any crash reports from your email address. When Rhino crashes, does the crash reporter pop up?

All that said, we have tracking tickets concerning performance issues when printing on our list:

  • RH-90564 Print: Vector Print: Performance Issue in Print Dialog
  • RH-90567 File IO: Vector Output: Performance Issue

As Gijs mentioned, it would be very helpful if you could share a 3dm file with us that we can use in performance testing.
