I would like to start a little side project - visualizing the insane amount of parking cars in cities.
For this, I have a site plan of Vienna, where all parking spots are marked by closed polylines. By which technique / approach I can now “fill” those polygons with car (or rectangular placeholders). There exists " angle parking", “parking parallel to sidewalk”, “parking 90 degree to sidewalk”. I have some grasshopper knowledge but no idea where to start. I do not think it is necessary to work with packing algorithm or galapagos?
For any hint or clue I would be happy.
