Points on surfaces part 2

You might recognize me from such posts as:

Points on which surface?

I have 237 points in space. I’ve projected them onto a series of surfaces(ceiling panels) I want to list which points are on which surface. The final deliverable would be either A tree where each panel’s list of points starts at 0 or 1. A master list of points (0 to 237) and the tree shows each branch is a panel number, and each list inside that branch is a list of point numbers which are included for that surface. Thanks! I think I did not explain well enough and I am still failing, so Im asking for help again.

Below you will find an expression with a series of points in space with lines terminating in a series of surfaces. I need help with some lists.

how do I get the individual Strand point IDs to show up in order on the orange points on surface list?

How do I get a quantity of points for each surface?

Cullpts using proximity results in points still too close. Cull Twice?

Consider this instead? It sorts the faces of your ‘Design Volume’ by Z to find the ceiling and projects the Pop3D points to that. It adds a ‘Min Length’ slider to ignore short wires (points too close to the ceiling). Then it uses Cull Duplicate Points as before. It adds a ‘Seed’ slider (integer 0 to 300) to try different random patterns. [Proximity testing_2023Feb14b] Proximity testing_2023Feb14b.gh (14.5 KB)
