Parametric problem

I’m creating a parametric bench. I originally planned to create a part that would connect all the pieces, but I’m struggling with doing that and have decided to squash everything together and have all the components be besides each other. However, I can’t seem to find the logic on how to do that without altering the thickness of the components, since that is the thickness of the material I will use. It seems like a simple fix, but I just can’t seem to think of it. Can anyone help?

(Ignore the group in red in GH, that is for when I unroll all surfaces.) (41.9 KB)

thank you! ill try that

Hi @AArnaud

I added part where you move the curves closer by the distance minus the thickness.

If you know the thickness from the beginning it would be cleaner to use that to subdivide the curves, but didn’t wat to re-write your script since its working. So just patched that part (42.0 KB)

I don’t know what you mean, sorry. And don’t understand what you are doing either.

If you refer to what I posted.

I think ana edited the post to not have the waffle and just have the pieces flush with each other so that’s the logic I added

I did. Good luck and have fun.

this is what im looking for!!! thankyou so much
