Panels and surface edges

hello.
I am working on a free form and found the best way to panel it is through projecting a grid unto it to obtain the desired result; however the grid and therefore the panels do not meet the edge of my surface. I attached an example below.

Is there a way to have the panels meet the exact edge of my form ?

The easiest way is to create a slightly bigger grid and surface to project to. You can then use the smaller original surface as a reference in paneling commands (to trim against).
