OSnaps not working

Same issue for me. Not only does Osnap not work, but smart tracking doesn’t work at all either. Rhino 7 geometry and Rhino 8 geometry both not working

Hi Patrick - does this happen in a layout or model space? If in model space is there a layout or multiple laypouts in the file? Does it happen in a new, clean file with only a box or something, or only in files with many objects?

-Pascal

I’ve tested in layout and model space, in files I created in Rhino 7 and opened in 8, and yes, even in files I’ve created only to test the function. Simple geometries in new Rhino 8 files don’t even work, which I tested in “normal” as well as safe mode. I’m going into the office now and will check on a different pc today.

Hi Pascal, I have tested Rhino 8 on a different pc with the same result. I had no issues on either with Rhino7. Is there something I don’t understand about how these functions work differently in 8 from 7?

Thank you

Hi Patrick - they should behave exactly the same as in previous versions - what may be amiss here is the Osnap panel itself - on the left by default - can you send a screen shot of how that looks - where ever it is - on your system?

-Pascal

I’m the idiot, I’ve used the panel you circled and everything is now functioning properly. Thank you for your help!
