I am working on a file created on Rhino 7. I am trying to osnap to some objects on paper space but it can not grab any points. On the same page, osnap works fine to some objects, but not with others. I tryed to copy and paste but it seams that Rhino 8 choose randomly what I can osnap. If I open the file with Rhino 7 I don’t have any issues. Is there anything I could try? It seams a bug to me since the random objects where osnap works or not.
I am not sure if the screenshots will explain better. On the bottom “17” note the osnap is fine, on the upper note I can not have any grabs.
Hi Eugenio - can you post an example file or send to tech@mcneel.com, with a link back to this topic? Please also include the output from the SystemInfo
command in Rhino.

Sure I can. Can I use wetransfer link to send the file?
Hi Eugenio - you can, if the file is large, or use our upload Rhino - Upload to Support

I opened your file and tried to draw a circle on the end on the line under your LEGEND.
No endpoint osnap was found. Okay.
I reset your ModelBasepoint to 0,0,0, and Osnaps started working.
I reset the ModelBasepoint to 0,1000’,0 and the Osnaps kept working.
Hmmm…
I closed Rhino and opened the file again and Osnaps are still working.
I have NO idea.
Give that a try.
Any luck?
I’m having the same issue.
I’ve been working on a model for 8 days no issues in Rhino 8 and all of a sudden I now can’t snap to anything in paper space. I can’t snap in detail views to dimension, or if I draw directly in paper space I still can’t snap to connect lines. I’ve copied the model to a new file and made new layouts and it works for a bit but then goes back to having no snap points. I can snap to things in model space. Sometimes with no rhyme or reason some pages will let me snap for a bit, but then stop working again.
I opened the file in Rhino 7 and it seems to be fine, but I’m looking to use new Rhino 8 features and would like to continue using it.
I’ve turned OSnap off and then on, unchecked and rechecked all the boxes and still nothing. I also tried the above ModelBasepoint and it didn’t help. Is there anything else I can try?
Any thoughts? I’m still having the issue.
Can you post the file here or send it privately?
We will need your SystemInfo as well (via the Rhino Command line)
Thanks
