What do you normally use for extracting maps with metadata for buildings and landscapes of any place of the world?

Could you recommend a good GitHub library in any programming language.

I’ve used Gismo a couple of times, but it depends a bit on the place/requirements to data. But definitively check it out, great work by @djordje and the rest of the contributors:

We use the Overpass API to get data from openstreetmap.
