I got a problem and want to ask if some guy can help me out.
I am using rhino 8 opennest2 and facing this issue.
I want to nest different curves, later on I want to nest cut out curves for laser or cutter. Right now I try to do it first with simple curves to get into it.
I tried youtube tutorials but cannot get to the result.
process followed -
selected the curve as said in the tutorial. → Link → https://youtu.be/RWN8OpJmfpE
set the control points as well and convex hull too for simplified shapes after connecting with
open nest that box becomes red. I am not getting the issue.
→ it shows in red: 1. Invalid Cast: Curve >> nest_geo 2. Solution exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I don’t really understand what it means.
please help me out.
Following your approach, I finally get Opennest to understand my curves. Is there a way in the plugin where it can orient my objects from yz-plane to xy?
I’ve seen you work on naval structures. Would you be interested in softwares to generate BOMs, nesting, drawing, bending template, cutouts, adding stiffners, storing parts etc.
Output documentation from Rhino → visualhull.eu/docs.rar
If you even need just scripts or plugins (partial) and do not need the entire structural workshop doc (we generate a lot 80+mt S/Y) I can sell partial plugins, or even customized plugins for the documentation that you generate.
Our nestings are superior in quality, work well with all machines, all lines are clean, divided in layers, simplified to reduce cutting times, complexity and ensure that they work with all machining tools incl. very old ones.
