When I add more than one perspective viewport and enable raytrace rendering, all but the last perspective I was in render very black and undefined. Only one viewport renders properly. Id like all the views to render properly. Is this a settings issue?
Black viewports generally indicate OpenGL display problems.
Assuming this is Rhino for Windows (no category assigned to your message), please take a screenshot of the settings in:
Options > View > OpenGL
That’s a good card a recent drivers. I’m surprised you’re running into problems.
Is this V5?
It looks like you might be using Neon.
I’ve never tried to have multiple Layout details using Neon at the same time.
I did and it will indeed not work, unfortunately.

Yes, it’s a decent setup. Yes v5. In addition, even if just one neon layout, printing causes a serious crash where the whole computer (including other applilcations) free for about 5 minutes.
I guess I would setup one viewport with Neon, let it finish, capture the image and use it with PictureFrame to “fake” the appearance of the raytraced Detail. Then move on to the next Detail to build the Layout one image at a time.
Thanks John.
