I’m very interested in this too. We don’t allow internet for a lot of our employees, so the offline help file would be welcome.

@brian @pascal Haven’t heard anything new about this. When will we be able to download the Rhino V7 offline help file? Is there a link for it?
Also: any idea if the offline installer redist issue will be fixed for this Tues. ?
Sorry, no news yet - offline access to help affects relatively few people, and we’re focused on larger issues still with the rollout of V7. I know that isn’t good to hear, but it’s the truth.
Aw, geez Brian. I won’t argue that there isn’t plenty to fix with V7.
On the other hand you had it set up and working for V6. Am I wrong in assuming the only thing different about the V7 help system is the content? Under that assumption it seems to me the only effort required is to generate the file.
Yeah, that’s pretty true. But generating, testing, and publishing is probably a day or two of work.
Well, under my assumption, which you acknowledged, that’s about what I would have guessed at the outside.
I realize that offline users don’t represent the majority of your users but it’s certainly, as far as I can tell from the forum, not none. How many user hours of trial by error, distracting search on an online computer, or other frustrating behaviors do you think might be saved going forward through the simple act of deploying your most appropriate person for a day or two to provide one of the most helpful features of online Rhino. We off-liners paid the same price for our copy but as a result of our second-class status as Rhino users we need to provide our own second-class solutions as an alternative to the once novel but now pretty mainstream command driven animated help.
Please show some mercy and deploy a V7 offline help file for download real soon.
We have about 130 Rhino users at our main facility. Of those, only about 25-30 have internet access. The rest live without a help file if on-line is the only option.
I’d like to see this too. It was beneficial for V6 as I had a lot of users thankful that they had the off-line help. They will be disappointed if this is not available for V7.
