Non-destructive window openings

Newbie question: what is the best way to make window openings into walls?

Currently I’m using boolean difference. Is there a non-destructive alternative? (So the window can be changed/removed later.)

use MakeHole, _RoundHole, _RevolvedHole

Hi - with sub-object selection (Ctrl+Shift), you can also modify openings after they have been created.

Would it be possible to implement Record History for MakeHole or should we leave it for Grasshopper?
