Help for NetworkSrf should have a statement that “All curves in each direction must be either open or closed.” in addition to “All curves in one direction must cross all curves in the other direction and cannot cross each other.” The requirement for all open or closed curves in each direction is not obvious.

Good catch. Omission probably occurred because original writer blew past it assuming “that’s obvious - everybody knows that’s how it has to be” if he/she gave it any thought at all.
But there’s a lot of users out there and not all of them think the same way the developer or documentation writer do.
