My Footwear CAD Plugin

Hi, this is a plug-in for the footwear industry that I am still developing using Visual Studio Code and Claude AI. I am automating and customizing the plug-in for the creation of heels, soles, and platforms, adapting it to the specific needs of the footwear sector thanks to several years of experience gained by carrying out these processes manually.

The goal is to create a tool that automates some work phases, optimizing design time and avoiding the need to manually repeat long, repetitive, and unproductive operations.

The current version is still a WIP: I still need to add some features for developments with specific constraints related to the footwear industry, but the project is already at an advanced stage.

The plug-in is not for sale, and I do not intend to commercialize it. At the same time, it is not a project that will be released for free, because its development was also made possible through the use of Claude AI, which is a paid service. So, for anyone wondering why it is not released for free, the reason is simply that the tools used to create it also have a cost.

I simply want to share this experience because I believe it can be an interesting starting point for other designers in different fields. Many professionals have similar needs: after creating a first prototype or defining a specific process, they often have to repeat work phases that are automatic, repetitive, and time-consuming, but could potentially be optimized.

This project aims to show the current capabilities of artificial intelligence applied to everyday work. Before this, I also developed other specific plug-ins and commands that I personally needed, creating custom tools exactly according to my workflow and the requirements I encountered in practice.

In this topic, I will only share some examples of what I am working on and how the development is progressing. Enjoy watching.

New additions: constraints for the heel seat, constraints for the heel top profile, and a built-in height development suggestion table that is automatically populated once the object has been dimensioned.
