We know that we can change the shape of a curve or surface by moving the grip points. But if we want point p to move to point q, how do all the grip points move? (see figure).

Update … , my idea is to insert u by a knot at point p until the control point is at point p. Then move p to q, but using this method would increase the number of control points …
