Modelling trees in Grasshopper for climate analysis

Is there a very good explanation somewhere on how to model trees (the leafy stuff that grows and gives us food, not data trees) for thermal comfort studies? I saw some examples in Hydra (e.g. Trees in Outdoor Thermal Comfort) but the parameters used are not very clearly explained. Can anyone help?

It also seems that there are discussion on trees

Well … if you mean stuff like that:

… you can do it via recursion (and several lines of code).

But if you mean to skip the modelling and “just” compute average shadow data depending on the type/size of tree(s) … that requires a lot more lines (and an i9 and/or a Ryzen and/or Cuda/Tesla systems).

Many thanks, Laurent and Pfotiad0. Yes, I will check them out.

Hello sir, your work really looks great. Is it possible to get your data file for this tree generation?
