If I have a closed curve like this one:
Is there a way to find a plane that passes through the middle of that curve? And by “the middle” I mean the middle of the perimeter, not just the middle between the highest and lowest point.

Maybe try to divide the curve into many points and take the average of all the points? The more the number of points the more precise the average will be, so you can also control the precision.
