I’ve got a small Microstation model that I’m trying to bring into Rhino. I’m struggling to get any geometry out of it via both the Export and Save As options. Ive been trying to send out dwg’s that I could then import into Rhino
Anyone have a solution for going between the two? I’m sure I’ve done it before in the past…
Investigating further - it looks like every element in the DGN file is being exported with its individual block/cell center point going to the origin point of the rhino file. So instead of my geometry being laid out in the world space as expected, it is all clumped around the origin point, on top of each other. Any ideas what I can do about this?
You could try to draw a line from each object/block/cell to the origin and then export as a whole.
If the model is small as you mentioned, would exploding the blocks before export make the file too difficult to work with?
