Really stupid, no. An oversight/limitation that would be good to have fixed, yes.
I am assuming you want to use the edge of the chamfer to punch through a hole in that diameter. Normally, I would sub-select the edge and use the Gumball cut tool to do this. However, the cut line on the Gumball doesn’t show up for subselected edges. MakeHole or Wirecut don’t work either. They do if you dupe the edge first and use the curve.
Yes, I think it might well be time for YOU to get new glasses. Or better reading comprehension. Nowhere in my post was a suggestion of a “workaround” You might go back and read it again with better glasses that have built-in attitude adjustment. I simply confirmed your observation as to what was not working and stated what did for comparison purposes.
You understand this is a public forum and there’s maybe other people with the same question you have about this silly feature? You might not need a workaround, but if other people read the thread the workaround might be useful to them. Saves us having multiple threads about the same thing and helps people who find this thread after googling the same problem. Rather don’t dictate how people can respond when starting a thread - doesn’t help anyone.
entirely lacking abilities to self reflect, weak memory and gearing up against people who try to help in favor of venting out your own frustration is probably not a very sustainable way to make the world smarter.
on the other side i feel you, i am also very annoyed all the time, its a contemporary thing it seems but boy, pull yourself just a bit more together will ya. changing habits or in worst case your environment may really help. hobbies etc.
I’m still learning Rhino 8 and this isn’t a reply to the OP, but for others. Can’t this be done with RoundHole? Once you set the Radius and Direction with Center Osnap, it’s left click, left click, … Maybe I misunderstood the problem.
