Location of setting cplane by object on polysurface?

is it a bug when you set the cplane to a sub surface on a polysurface and it shows the plane at the center of the surfaces untrimmed geometry instead of the center of the trimmed surface?

Hello - no, it is not a bug - at least, that is how it it designed to work…
Use CPlane > Surface to get more control.
