Learning Rhino: Seeking classes or tutors in Seattle, WA

Hello,

I am a long time woodworker and musical instrument designer/manufacturer. Until now, I have used traditional drafting and hand tool techniques. However, I would like to set my self up for the second half of my career by learning Rhino to design my instruments and then use CAM/CNC software and machines to save wear and tear on my joints and body.

I know myself well enough to understand that I learn best with guidance, and am therefore seeking ideally in person training in Rhino 8, in either a classroom or tutoring format. Online is acceptable, but not ideal. In the case of online learning, I believe I would do best with a one on one training dynamic. The skill I want most to develop would be modeling the complex, proportionally geometric arching and outline of violin family instruments. However, I am eager to learn any Rhino skills which bring me closer to figuring that goal out.

If you are someone who either is interested in teaching me or can connect me with a teacher, I would be deeply grateful.

Thank you all who read this!

we do 1-1 training online at McNeel.

fwiw- before you buy any training-

You should go thru the level 1 and level 2 material that is included with Rhino in help>learn rhino>tutorials and samples. Doing this on your own first will enable you to advance much faster than getting someone to “show you the software”. Make notes on stuff you get stuck on and cover that instead of spending money to learn the very basics

Thanks very much for this! I really appreciate the information. I have begun the level 1 training, and am planning to start the introductory course on rhino.education. I have ADHD and am medicated, but I know I generally do best when I am taught and held accountable by a teacher/tutor/professor. It’s slow going for me with the lv 1 training pdf, but I am still working my hardest on it. I have big dreams for using rhino in my design and manufacturing practice as an instrument designer.
