playing with it a bit i figured the results are relatively good also looking with Zebra, but the edges do not join up ever no matter how fine i resolve it.
i remember something vaguely that this command might be for some inbetween step, was it quadremesh, or shrinkwrap idk.
maybe somebody wants to comment, and by all means a new patch would be really thrilling, though this one requires at least 3 curves (though it says edges curves also work) while patch would also work with one circular edge able to align with its surface tangency, so far that does not work with Npatch.
accidentally by checking through youtrack, it is a test command for now. i was honestly not sure if i should egoistically blurb that out in that way, but since it is visible for the public and such a command should become feedback as early as it exists i think, i guess its time to start a topic on it anyway.
We typically write up a “new in 9” tpye post here when a new feature becomes available that we think is ready to have people try out. That hasn’t happened yet for npatch.
