Intel Lunar Lake has been officially announced. Another exciting moment for customers to be able to choose from a wider range of products to use between AMD, Intel and Snapdragon.
It’s worth noting that Lunar Lake is a low-power, high-efficiency focused product with 4P+4E cores, and a total of 8 threads.
Probably not much use for those wanting to do CPU-based rendering or highly threaded computing. For Rhino, probably for more use with reasonably light loads; given this architecture is meant for thin and light mobile devices.
Notably, it also comes with the new Intel Battlemage Xe2 graphics architecture which in this case is integrated; and replaces both Alchemist (on Meteor Lake) and Iris Xe/UHD (Nth Gen Core, Raptor Lake, etc…).
I suspect we may be seeing people on the forum with greater numbers of thin/light and medium use laptops with Intel Battlemage GPUs for mobile.
