Insert point to mesh or SubD BUG

Hi, I recently update my Rhino to the last SR 8.6 and I noticed that the command Insert point to mesh or SubD doesn’t work if on the object the SubD simmetry is also active. I made a few tries just with SubD primitives, on the same object the command that regularly work, after the simmety is activated doesn’t make changes anymore. (of course working on the lighter “active” area of the simmetry).

file and steps to repeat?

Hi, Kyle
What I’m doing is just to run that command before and after I applied the simmetry on the SubD object.
Here in the file I attached the same object is duplicated. One with the simmetry the other without.

I think it’s this:

you are correct-
this is a stop ship item that will be fixed asap.
