Import to a specific viewport location

I have tired several ways to import an object to where my viewport is at but can’t find a solution without having to do several moves to do that task.

After importing an object there is a Command (MoveTargetToObjects) but not the way around where you can click and the object snap to that location.

I have tried Insert and got two windows with Insert file options and insert, then in insert there is Insertion point and the location of the point is at 0 which is not the center of that object if originally it’s save elsewhere or have to tick off the point prompt and it will be imported at 0 location.

I was wondering if there is a plugin or a shortcut that imports an object to where you’re in the viewport instead of the original/saved location or having to do several moves.

Thanks

Hi Maher -

If you can have the file with the object to be inserted open, you can use the new CopyToClipboardAt or PasteAt command in the Rhino WIP:
