I have seen those kind of errors on Macs before.
Windows user here, somebody else might help i hope.

macOS Mojave Version 10.14.5
Grasshopper Version Feb. 13 2018 Build 0.9.0080 Work In Process
Rhinoceros version: 5.5.5 (5F96)

Meanwhile you can Copy/Paste text to panel.

Text import from file has advantage. Content of various text files can be manipulated outside of Rhino.

Mono’s VB compiler may not fully work on macos, which prevents you from using the component.
You would probably need another solution, such as Python or C#.
