Is there an algorithm to make this shape? Even if I look for it, it doesn’t come out well.

I’m going to make a shelter that looks like this

As Andrew says learn Grasshopper. It’s lot’s of fun and very powerful. Then try and come up with a new design along the lines of those renders that will actually stay up in anything more than a gentle breeze. I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that if that thing has actually been built as per those concept renders (unlikely) then I, for one, do not want to stand underneath it. Steve

I think there is not a simple algorithm to make that as it seems a bit complex. The first work is to make a global shape of the surface Then slice this surface with planes at angle like it is represented there [image] This will give you upper curves These curves are then offseted on the same plane used for the cut. Offset seems to be variable depending on the shade The difficult part will be to make the pillars [image]
