How to make a technical plan with angular dimensons and lenght dimensions from a curve which is not a rectangle

Hi guys,

I am a cabinet maker, specialised in chairs, and I am trying to use grasshopper to modelise my projects. Also, I would like to use my algorithm to help my for the fabrication. I need to make technical plan from the curves of the different pieces of my chair and I would like to put automatically the lenght and angular dimensions. And i don’t succeed to make it easily.
Any idea?

what algorithm? if you have something maybe post an example?

…different ways to do it but you could start with something simple using discontinuity points of your chair parts’ profiles to find adjacent edge pairs and get angles - edge components allow for that within grasshopper
