How do I make a Gh import single block from the larger file?
Filtering Blocks With Name is not working either.

Every output displays all blocks on the screen while texted information outputting only one

Another thing I am struggling with is no output through Layer With Name filter:

What I am doing wrong here?

Update: I have managed to load the specific block but I’m stuck with extracting the layer.
Neither from block nor from exploded one:

On the second issue with the layer name you can use the layer component to get the layer name out of the model layer.

Hi Piotr,

In your first screenshot you are using the Import Model Block Definition, this will import the entirety of the file. The same as if you used the Insert command in Rhino.

To import one block definition from that file use the Import Content component

The N output doesn’t respect the parent-child structure.
At this point the problems becomes blurred but it could be described as:
how to extract part of the imported block by the Layer’s name?.

You might have to filter by parent too…
