Holomark 2 Released!

Here is mine:

I’ll have to compare this to some of the other posts. I’d love to replace this MacBook with a REAL PC!

I’ve looked at the ZBooks as a possible replacement to my MacBook. Close to twice the score of my MacBook Pro, nice!

After you have ran Holomark2 you can hit F2 and look at one of the first history listings, it will tell you where the plugin is located, and then you just delete that folder. That is an uninstall as good as any.

Hi Holo,

here we go man!

Are AA settings taken into account?

My previous score was with AA set at 8x. Ran again with no AA and the score only improved by 500, but GPU tests 16 and 17 improved substantially (up to 101 units and 37 fps without AA). Just seems strange to me that those tests would be the only ones impacted by AA settings.

I am TRULY sorry for bringing that sad news upon you… My bad!
But you shall know that I am thrilled to see that I managed to both capture your dual graphic card setup and your dual cpu. So THANKS for testing this for me. AND your UDT score beats all the other Xeon’s

Oh, a none-Xeon UDT issue… darn, and you have a 6 core i7…
@John_Brock do you have any idea about what can cause this?

Thanks for the feedback Greg!
Is your default Rhino template a 3 view setup?

Are AA settings taken into account?

No, it is NOT taken into account. I don’t know about any ways to control that setting.
And you are right, the GeForce’s are highly affected by AA when in render “speed mode”.

I have been incredibly happy with the Zbook. mine is without the dreamcolor display, and I have some headroom theoretically on the GPU.
A bit heavier than your macbook, but that should not come as a surprise.

You’re welcome, thanks for all your hard work on this!

I have a regular 4 view in the default template. That message came after the test had been running for some time with just the single viewport up.

It’s too bad we don’t have command-line access anymore to the AA settings. Just another hurdle to easily compare systems! People could submit their AA settings, but then there is also the NVidia/AMD settings that can affect scores…

Hi John

FYI I’ve updated to the recommended Quadro driver 332.76 and Dynamic Streaming setting.
Previous score 21365, new score 21694, and running down the list, all the scores are pretty much the same as before the update.
Although the score is not as good as some others, the configuration feels very good for day to day modelling.

That’s not the recommended driver.

For Windows 7, the latest stable driver we recommend is 320.92

Thank you for helping out John. I really appreciate that you take the time to do that.

I hope this test can help people tune their systems form maximum performance.
And maybe it might even result in some tune-ups for V6.

This just came in from the previous beta, a dual Xeon with a K6000 card:
And they did NOT have the UDT-Xeon issue:

EDIT: And look at the GPU_16 score, 476 units!!! That must have taken a while…
So as you can see, the pro cards like the K6000 really shows their strength with PURE mesh objects. So RMA, please work hard on V6 and blocks so we can have some speed ups with “static” objects.

And @DanBayn can you please check your GPU_21 score once more, since your is way too high. It does not make any sense that yours should be higher than the GPU_20 test.

Here’s my score based on my home built system:

Intel 3930K clocked to 4GB
AMD Firepro W7000 driver 135
32 GB mem
2x 256gb Samsung 840 pro in raid 0
2 x WD Black 1 TB cloned
1 x Seagate 1 TB backup
1 x Samsung Evo 256 GB in portable USB 3.0 enclosure back up
Swiftech H220 + M320 + res water cooled for cpu (temps never exceed 56 deg C)
Corsair Cosmos II case
More fans than anyone needs
attached is a windows snip of the score which I find a bit low…maybe?

Here is my home office PC:

Hm… Another score without a graph…
Could you please check if it is there but in white?

Edit: and you say it is overclocked to 4 Ghz? could you please check that in the systems data? If so I have gotten the data wrong and have to look into it.

Thanks!

I was running Coretemp at the same time which reported a constant 4 ghz. I overclocked in the Asus bios and then throttle down for low load to 1.2 ghz through the windows 8 power management.
