I’ve been using the evaluation version, and was finally given the authorization to purchase a licence. I received the licence key in the mail (thank you for the timely delivery). I have registered using the drop down Help menu, and have validated the licence on the web, following the instructions in the booklet that the licence key is on.
However, I still have the little (Evaluation) in the software name at the top of the window, and when I try to save something, it still gives me the number of remaining saves that I have with this Evaluation licence.
What else do I need to do to use this licence key? Do I need to re-install Rhino from a fresh download? Is there some other page that I need to insert the key?
Hello - when you start Rhino, if it is still in Evaluation mode, the opening splash screen should show you the way to get the license key entered. Any luck?
To get back to the Splash screen Pascal mentioned, click on About Rhinoceros on the bottom of the Help pull-down menu.
Click on the License tab.
That’s the spot.
Unfortunately, a splash screen does not pop up when I start Rhino. Also, when I click on “About Rhinoceros…”, from the Help drop down menu, I do not have an option to click on a Licence Tab. The only options that I have are “New”, Recent",“Open”, all directing me to a file.
Then you are running a very, very old service release of Rhino V5.
Where did you get it? Yours is more than a year old.
Download and install the current one from here: http://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino/5.0/sr
