Hi,
I’m trying to use Paneling Tools on an open polysurface, but since this isn’t supported, I converted it to a quad mesh and used each face to generate a grid. This works well for symmetric objects like circles. However, when applying it to an asymmetric object, the units appear randomly rotated.
I’ve attached images to illustrate the issue, along with an example file. (Note: The polysurface shown is just a placeholder, as I can’t share the actual client file. Converting the polysurface into a single surface isn’t an option.)
Is there a way to control the orientation of each unit—perhaps using an attractor? Or is there a better approach to generating the grid from the polysurface?

Thanks!
