I opened up a file from aug '22, and noticed the grid bug showed up again even though I figured out that last workaround.
It appears I have to use yet another work around.
I wonder when this will ever get fixed.

Nope.
The old workaround seems to be broken, or doesn’t work for certain display modes.
Just noticed something weird I never tried before… Since I’m forced to turn off the axes because they look so bad, this happened:
The grid finally turns off once the axes are turned off
