I wish to start exploring Grasshopper scripts - however I discovered in searching for the script component - that the scripts library folder was bare…this was after using ChatGPT to assist:(see next)
If you still can’t find the Script component using this method, it’s possible that the Script component is not installed on your version of Rhino 6. In this case, you may need to install it separately. To do this, try the following steps:
1. Open the Grasshopper window by typing “Grasshopper” in the Rhino command line. 2. In the Grasshopper window, click on “File” in the top left corner. 3. Select “Special Folders” from the “File” menu. 4. In the “Special Folders” menu, click on “Components” to open the folder where Grasshopper components are stored. 5. Look for the “Script” component in the Components folder. If it’s not there, you may need to download and install it separately.
Can anybody assist in where I might find a site download the above? Thanks in advance…
It looks like, if you are seriously going to use that service to get your answers, you’ll have to learn how to ask the correct questions. With the current state of that technology, it probably means that you need to know the answer to know if what you’re served as an answer makes any sense…
At any rate, what are you looking for?
If you are looking for a (Python or C#) scripting component, you will find those in the Maths tab.
If that means *.gh files, there are a few “Getting Started” samples that should be shown when you start Grasshopper, or that can be found from the Help menu.
