yes, use polyhedra (RhinoPolyhedra is a good plugin - but you can also get cells from a 3d voronoi) , deform and boolean them

Grasshopper is mainly a parametric tool, meaning you have some parameters and models.
If it is just to do one fixed shape, don’t loose your time, use a modeler (Rhino).
If you want to explore shapes, try to find want you want to change. And if you have difficulties, this forum will gladly help.
