GPU rendering on apple silicon

Are there plans for the rhino render engine (cycles) to use the gpu on apple silicon chips? I know the rhino 8 WIP uses metal now for the viewport, but when rendering it only uses the CPU. Also, in raytraced mode in the WIP, I’m getting 100% CPU and 80% GPU use, but the time it takes is the same as if it were only using the CPU.
