Ghcomp doesn't recognize item type of items from a datatree

Hi

I’m trying to use items stored in tree branch in ghcomp commands. However, the command doesn’t recognize the item as curve and returns a null. Any ideas what the problem is?

so the a returns a null eventhought there is a curve in the data tree.
