Getting started with Rhino, what's going on here?

I’m just getting started with Rhino and I’ve been doing the tutorials. I was trying something on my own and just trying to do simple stuff but I’m getting weird views. Here’s what I got when I drew a circle

If I do something with it like creating a surface, it works correctly to create a circle surface, but I can’t see it correctly on any of the views. Here’s a more extreme version with a SubD elipsoid I cut:

I’ve been trying to figure out if there’s some setting I have on that I should turn off, but no luck so far.

Hi Jason - in Rhino Preferences > OpenGL, un-check ‘GPU Tessellation’.
Any better?

The weird thing is, when I was opening up the models that come with the tutorial I wasn’t getting these. I just tried again and now I am.

Run the Rhino command SystemInfo and post the results here.
