File path from Grasshopper to Excel with Bumblebee_MAC

Hey all,
I’m having trouble writing to Excel fro grasshopper.
I’m having someone write a grasshopper program for me to build cabinet boxes. I’d like to send the parts labels and dimensions to an excel file to create a cut list. The .gh program is written, and functions fine on the windows (the platform it was written on). When I try to use it on my Mac, I cannot get the pathway to my excel file to work.

Details:
Mac Rhino V6
Using Bumblebee
I am getting my pathway through the “Go to folder” function on the finder
Error message from Bumblebee is “The method or operation is not implemented”

Any help would be great,
Thanks!

Hi @stefan6,

It appears Bumblebee uses ActiveX/COM for its Excel functionality. This is entirely windows-specific and won’t work on Mac unfortunately. There isn’t anything we can do to enable this on our end so you’ll have to use something else or poke the author of Bumblebee to make a Mac-compatible version.

Hope this helps,
Curtis.

Thanks - super helpful.
