Extrude planar curves perpendicular to the plane?

Hello,

The only extruding I’ve done is in either x or y x z direction.

This time I need to extrude in a combination of y/z direction.

I would like to extrude these two curves in a perpendicular direction to the plane the curves are on.

How do I do this?
