I have been sending files in .step and the customer says that I need to enable “measure”. I don’t know where to find this option or if there is one. I need to export to solidworks is there a solution?
I’ve never heard of that, no.
I have found that using the Solidworks ‘flavor’ of IGES seems to be preferred by some over STEP.
Unlike Rhino, SolidWorks does not provide a Software Development Kit for writing to their proprietary file formats.
IGES and STEP are the best neutral file formats that best preserve geometry to use as a go between.
