Yes it makes sense the possibility that a space may have been introduced when the Macro was copied from older rhino versions into the WIP.
Yet I copied your fixed Macro, and I still gets the same error . this is the command history with your fixed Macro:
Command: -Export
Command: pause
Command: “/Users/akashlotan/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/Mac (2)/Documents/ZbrushWork/From-Rhino.obj”
Failed to save as /Users/akashlotan/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/Mac (2)/Documents/ZbrushWork/From-Rhino.obj.
Then I again copied [my working version of the Macro from R8] into the WIP and I get the error.
maybe it is because the mash options works differently? … as far as having incorrect spaces…. I don’t know how to find these… pasting into the Macro editor didn’t give me any clue what needs to be changed …?
your test file unfortunatly gives the same results as any other file .
with the Export command if I rename the file it works. but if I try to overwrite an existing file [which is what this Macro is essentially about ]. then it fails ! even as it ask for permission to over write, it still fails.
so the problem looks like the overwriting of obj files in the WIP.
This simple system allow for rapid back and forth between Rhino and Zbrush [where I have also Macros to import and export with one click]. but it depends on always using the same name. Hence the imperative to allow for overwrite files.
Hi @Akash,
However I do not have the issue with your Macro on my Mac in the Rhino 9 WIP. So there is something specific to your computer configuration and allowing the file overwrite.
Again, no issue with the WIP on my Mac Tahoe with the Rhino 9 WIP.
So we been unable to cause my computer to fail with file or settings or any other instructions.
Maybe another user who has the same problem will help us understand this issue better.
