Example of 'Text Entity' & 'Model Font' please?

Can someone please show me how to use R8 ‘Text Entity’ & ‘Model Font’ , just don’t get it?

Ah, i see. Thanks. Would be great to have option in the Text Entity to convert to outline crv or mesh. Currently only supported by external plugins

can you explain why the screen size of text in rhino is different from when I need to make an export as pdf for instance. I would expect if I explode the Rhino Text Entity it would keep the same size

PS: the same is when using ‘Custom Curve Preview’, when for instance dash sizes are not identical forom what I see in rhino and when I look at the exported pdf’s

Hi -

I’m not sure what exporting to PDF has to do with things here, but I’m not seeing a size difference between the text entity and the exploded text in Grasshopper here:

FWIW, I’m using a new file from the factory-default “Small Objects - Millimeters” template when testing this.

your suggestion to check out the templates, solve it. I accidentally scaled ‘Model Space’ by 10x

The explode object component does not seem to explode properly into curves single line fonts?

Using the SLF-RHN Architect font (engrave annotation style) and it explodes into double curves.

You can see right the display and left the exploded output.
