Hello everyone,
Is it possible to have one color on the inside and another on the outside of a closed solid?
In the drawing, I have exploded one solid. And I changed the colors to have an example.

Hello Ron,
in a closed polysurface Rhino can’t understand what surfaces are inside the hull and what are outside.
The only thing that Rhino can do is colour the Backface of a surface or polysurface (so you have to be inside the polysruface to see the different colour).
The setting is in the Options → Display Modes
Another way to change the colour of some faces in a polysurface is to Sub Select the Surfaces (you don’t need to explode or extract the surfaces, just CTR+Shift+LMB or use Filter Selection) and assign the new material.

Changing the Surface with Sub Select, works fast.
Thanks
