Custom colors reset after update

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a two-part question about custom colors in Rhino:

Setting custom colors: Is there a way to set custom colors within the Rhino application without having to manually edit the colors.txt file (located at AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\Localization\en-US\Support)?

Persistent custom colors: How can I save my custom colors, so they don’t reset after every update? It’s a bit of a hassle to keep editing that file manually.

I’ve already checked the forum and noticed this bug reported a few years back. Any updates on this issue?

Hi -

There are color swatches below the color picker wheel that are populated as you pick new colors.

RH-61405 [Rhino 7 installer overwrites colors.txt] is open and currently on the 8.x list.

The swatches are dynamic and change/update with every new color pick and lack consistency, I use the colors on the left because they are permanent. If there was another area to set permanent custom colors, I would use that, but there is no such option.
