Hi all, I have a question regarding the updated Grasshopper developer assembly template. Before Rhino 8 was around, I used the exact same method as indicated in the developer guides and used the Grasshopper Assembly Template to initialize a project for a Grasshopper plugin (C#). In that case, debugging went perfectly, as my components were always loaded nicely and I could test it out.
However, I have tried starting the development of a new assembly the same way, and even though I selected Rhino 7 as the minimum required version in the wizard, removing all debugging options from Rhino 8, setting the framework to net48, my helloworld component won’t even show up in Grasshopper anymore, and sometimes even results to breaks referring to COM stuff.
I have no idea why this is the case. The only thing I can come up with is that the main difference in my VS Studio environment was that now suddenly multiple dependencies are visible for net48, and net7.0 and net7.0-windows (also resulting in two additional debug contexts: one for Rhino 7 on net7.0 and one for Rhino 8, which I don’t have).
Since my company is not planning on going to Rhino 8 soon, I’d love to know how I can resolve this issue in my current Rhino 7 environment / VS studio environment / project setup.
Thanks in advance!
